Paolo Zardi (born in Padova in 1970), an engineer, made his debut in 2008 with a short story in the anthology Giovani cosmetici (Sartorio). He has published the novella Il Signor Bovary (Intermezzi, 2014) and the novels La felicità esiste (Alet, 2012), Antropometria (2010), Il giorno che diventammo umani (2013), XXI Secolo (2015), with which he was a finalist for the 2015 Strega Prize, and La passione secondo Matteo (2017), all published by Neo Edizioni.
For Feltrinelli he has published, in the digital Zoom Flash series, Il principe piccolo (2015), La nuova bellezza (2016), Le città divise (2018), and the novel Tutto male finché dura (2018).
He is the first Italian author to be translated and published by the magazine Lunch Ticket (Antioch University, Los Angeles) with the short story Sei minuti.
